Networking

Democrative is actively involved in supra-regional and international exchange with pracititioners and stakeholders in the area of civic education. This results, on the one hand, from the diverse professional activities of its members and project collaborators and, on the other hand, from its membership and work in network organisations. The following is a list of the most important activities:

Non-school actors Education for Sustainable Development

(Ausserschulische Akteure Bildung für Nachhaltige Entwicklung BNE)

Since 2017, the Demokrative has been a member of the Network of Non-school actors in Education for Sustainable Development. This network brings together non-school actors who offer educational formats in the field of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD). In this network, civic and human rights education is understood as a field under the umbrella of education for sustainable development. The network is coordinated by the éducation21 foundation.

On the occasion of our Round Table 2019 and together with a team from éducation21, Demokrative organised a workshop for network members. The goal was exchange about our understanding of civic education. We revied and discussed mission statements of various member organisations, as well as national and international reference documents.
